TimberStruct can analyze main types of joints between timber elements, both timber-timber and timber-steel ones.
Both internal plate and external panel connections are present, nailed and/or bolted. As for elements, a quick overview pane allows an immediate control of calculations results also for joints.

As for elements, new modules are foreseen and in preparation in order to cover all joint types and following customer needs also for joints.

Loads on joints

Internal forces on joints are introduced as characteristic values for single load's cases. These forces can be obtained from element's modules from any external application, if needed.
TimberStruct will then generate automatically all load combinations and find the most unfavourable ones for each part of joint.
All parts of joint are verified, dowels, nails, plates.....
